TALES OF THE RED TWIN is an appreciation of electric guitars and amplifiers in general, of Fender guitars and vacuum tube amplifiers in particular, and of the worshipped and abominated Fender “Red Twin” of the late 1980s most specifically. It is produced by your host Three-Fingers McGee, last in the line of the infamous Barstow McGees of the rough-and-tumble country-swing circuit of the 1940s and 1950s. Three-Fingers is most famous for his “broken bottle-neck” style that caused the loss of two fingers.
